Archived release: v0.8.4 closed alpha · Windows build 6
· Weekly update: 5–10 October
This week's work focused on everyday editing, desktop compatibility and some runtime housekeeping.
Improved Windows setup and launch handling, with updates to the installer and desktop options.
Tidied up Creator selection, resizing, palettes and undo behaviour, along with fixes to saving and profile synchronisation.
Extended the theatrical workspace with room and layer editing, cue playback and character controls.
Made a few Asset Studio workflow adjustments and added a local memo workspace for project notes and reference files.
Reduced some rendering and navigation overhead, worked on startup delays and memory handling, and checked performance in busier scenes.
Added support for imported backer lists, a closing thank-you screen and ending an OBS stream. Format options now also include asset disclosure and optional credits.
Updated tests, creator guides and performance records, and brought the engine documentation together in the technical documents repository.
