# Sphinixx Format Engine — Windows build 8

12 October 2026 · v0.8.4 closed alpha · Windows x64 installer

- Added 2,505 UI strings across nine translated languages, excluding manuals.
- Rebuilt bitmap font atlases and fixed language selection and cached labels.
- Improved room transitions with room thumbnails, route previews and clearer controls in Theatrical Tools.
- Added custom iVerb transition conditions and Stage / Match support.
- Added dedicated manuals for the new Theatrical tools.
- Localised file-dialog captions and Creator activity messages.

The installer includes Python and the runtime dependencies. It creates an
uninstaller and Start Menu shortcuts, with an optional desktop shortcut.
Saved data is preserved during reinstall and uninstall. This closed alpha
installer is unsigned. Machine-translated prose still needs native-language review.

Source commit: `5bfe7b16e05aba1eb9813ce5b5e412f21ee97c8d`. Native launcher smoke tests, the full non-visual
test suite, and installer installation, rendering, reinstall and uninstall checks passed.
